Company Story
Our founder Jason E Smith got into fundraising to
make a difference. He was wholesaling yo yo
balloons and kept hearing from customers that
they were using yo yo balloons for fundraising.
Jason decided he should start a fundraising
company with a full line of products for his
customers. Jason researched the industry and
concluded that groups across America
needed a better option for getting their
fundraising products - OCFundraising.com is
that better option. The product fundraising
industry is a $4Billion industry. Jason’s vision
was to offer a large selection of products at
competitive prices, provide excellent customer
service, and accept small orders. The son of two
public school teachers with 48 years of combined
dedication to educating Jason understands what
fundraising is all about. From day one we have
been committed to helping you raise more money
from your fundraising campaigns. This is
achieved through our guaranteed lowest prices,
which allows you to keep a maximum amount of
your revenue. |

Jason E Smith's
family first settled in Orange County,
California in 1872. A newspaper article from
1955 reads “The family is closely identified
with Orange County.”
Jason’s Great Grandfather John C. Mitchell was a
farmer his entire life and at the request of
friends and neighbors served as a County Supervisor. He was responsible for the
building of Prado Dam and numerous other
projects. In 1955 Mitchell Elementary
School in California, named for him, was
dedicated. The dedication program reads, “The
life of John C. Mitchell is a life of civic duty
and service to many. Various members of his
family have likewise given much of their lives
to benefit others.” John’s brother Richard P.
Mitchell was Superintendent of Schools in Orange
County from 1908 - 1930. Jason’s Grandfather had
to drop out of medical school and get a job
during the depression, he later became a farmer
and raised two children in a tiny house in rural
Anaheim. Jason’s father was raised
poor and his bedroom was a screened-in front
porch. After living through tough times a
college education and job security were what
Jason’s father sought in life. In 1954, the
farming community was changed forever when Walt
Disney announced to the country that he planned
to build Disneyland in a former orange grove.
Jason’s father was a VIP guest at Disneyland on
dedication day July 17, 1955. America watched on
television that day while Walt, other
celebrities, and invited guests christened the
new park. Jason’s maternal grandfather was an architect
and worked on MLB’s ‘The Big A of Anaheim’, and
the Casino Building on Catalina Island. |
